I arrived at Bhopal to meet Mr. Sheo Shekhar Shukla, the Chief Executive Officer MP National Rural Employment Government Act. Contrary to what many of us believe, I found him extremely busy handling daily job.
He was in fact operating like a Corporate CEO, with a sense of urgency and accuracy for the tasks in hand. His team was working with him until 8pm at night, which is very unusual when we thing about government job in India.
During the course of the day, I also met Mr. Manoj Jhalani, Commissioner Rajya Shiksha Kendra,MP, who again was handling every task with utmost detail, not to leave any mistake happen on the ground. He made sure that everything in education is handled very efficiently and accurately, along with finding creative ways to get more from less staff.
Unfortunately, I did not have the confirmed ticket back to Delhi, so Mr. Shukla requested one of his friends Mr. Surendra Mohan Sharma, to see if any seat is available in the train from Bhopal to Delhi. It may be hard to believe, but it is real that Mr. Sharma came all the way to station to help me get a seat, even though he was off duty that day.
Thanks to Mr. Sharma, I was able to get a seat in the train and had safe trip back home
